HOW WE STARTED
We are moms and doctors who are personally or professionally familiar with many of the struggles, stresses, successes, and complications that can come with pregnancy. We understand that every pregnancy journey is unique and that moms-to-be may experience a wide range of emotions along the way.

Box of Cares was created to help support moms-to-be at different milestones of pregnancy. Driving to work one day, Dana was thinking about a particular patient who had been admitted to the hospital for several weeks, and how that patient's family had expressed a desire to be able to support her even when they could not be present. She thought about how much a care package can brighten someone's day and the concept quickly evolved into a business idea. Over the past several years, the women behind Box of Cares have been working to develop and refine care packages for both common and unexpected pregnancy events.

MEET OUR DOCTORS
DANA BLOCK-ABRAHAM
As a maternal fetal medicine specialist, Dana is very familiar with the ins and outs of complex pregnancy circumstances. She understands that every mother experiences pregnancy differently, and embraces these differences as a way to connect to her patients.
Dana created Box of Cares in order to help families and friends provide exceptional, supportive, and thoughtful gifts to their loved ones during both exciting and difficult times.

She has two boys who are smart, kind, and keep her on her toes.

DANIELLE TATE
Danielle is an experienced maternal fetal medicine specialist. The compassion she has for her patients is evident regardless of circumstance. She enjoys caring for high risk moms-to-be. You can often find her working late nights and weekends to ensure her patients get the best care possible.

She has several nieces and nephews who adore her and keep her current on the latest trends.

KIM BOSWELL
Originally trained as an Emergency Medicine physician, Kim completed additional training in Critical Care. She currently cares for trauma patients and those with COVID-19 respiratory failure. She has been privileged to care for critically ill pregnant women as well, and is always inspired by their resilience.

Kim has two daughters who are spunky, sassy, & delightfully funny.

We are a company that provides meaningful care packages for soon-to-be mothers, new moms, and those who have experienced difficult pregnancies, premature babies, or pregnancy loss.
We are women who believe in science and medicine. We aim to ensure that recipients of our boxes are not only getting beautiful & holistic gifts, but are also being provided with helpful, factual information about the challenges and joys they may be experiencing. Women, pregnancy, and babies are our passion. We hope it shows!
As a small business, we have tried to find as many American-made, woman-owned company products as possible to include in our boxes. We have selected environmentally conscious packaging and strive to minimize our carbon footprint. A portion of proceeds from each box will be donated to charities that share our mission and passion for healthy families.
Each box has items for both the mother and baby (if appropriate) that were selected for specific reasons with careful intention and consideration.
